Richfield UMC makes smiles in the neighborhood. We are at events like Penn Fest and host events on campus like concerts, guest speaker forums, craft fairs, coffee cart day, Summer Movie Nights, holistic wellness programs, Girl Scout troop meetings, Trunk-or-Treat, an Easter Egg Hunt. We are exploring other potential ideas, which could include physical fitness programs, game nights, Winter Movie Nights, D&D for teens, and more.

Richfield UMC has hands-on service projects to put faith into action. We assemble hurricane relief clean-up kits, hold donation drives for local food shelves like VEAP and Minnesota FoodShare, and create welcome kits for new neighbors rising from homelessness and refugees new to Minnesota. We are exploring the possibility of becoming a mission trip hub for churches from all over to come to the Twin Cities and serve in our neighborhood.
YOU CAN HELP! Make a financial gift for the latest donation drive or bring your donated items to campus.
Richfield UMC has an inclusive Sunday School ministry with trained volunteers and staff who love to work with children across the neuro-diversity spectrum! We have remade the Nook area to make it welcoming for little ones and elementary age kids to get the wiggles out as they listen to songs and pray along with prayers before Sunday School. We are already setting up Vacation Bible Camp for June 24-28, 2024.
YOU CAN SHOW UP! Contact Rev. Hope to learn how your children can be part of this welcoming ministry.
Richfield UMC is boots on the ground. We send teens on mission trips, advocate for fair & affordable housing, and partner with vetted local and national organizations focused on community outreach. We work with several vetted, established partners to do good work in the neighborhood, including Beacon Interfaith Housing Collaborative, the Minnesota Council of Churches, VEAP Food Shelf, and Agate Housing and Services.

Richfield UMC owns and operates Caring for Children early learning center. For 40 years and going, CFC provides care for infants through Pre-K in a safe, loving environment. We are proud to have stayed open during pandemic so first responder families had care for kids. Today, we have a variety of program enhancements all week, including music lessons, basic ASL and Spanish, Soccer Shots, and special recital programs for families.

Richfield UMC believes God loves all people and all means all. Worship includes sermons and liturgy with progressive theology, a variety of traditional tethers, and ancient and modern music to move the soul. Worship is how we convene weekly to gain respite from the brokenness of the world and refuel to restore the beauty in it. Stay afterward for a cup of coffee and a serving of fellowship with good friends.
YOU CAN COME AND SEE! Worship on Sundays at 9:30 am in-person or live online and by phone.
Richfield UMC loves to laugh! We love dressing up in our favorite team colors for the big game, silly moments in worship, holding a just-for-fun March Madness bracket, and a tasty beverage at Pub Theology! Creativity and inclusivity help us all have fun along the way. While there’s always a time and place for a serious moment, there is likewise always a time and place for laughter and joy.
YOU CAN FIND YOUR PLACE! Contact Pastor Nate to learn about the church over a cup of coffee – his treat!
