Welcome, retired clergy and spouses, and you're invited!

Many retired clergy and clergy spouses have found Richfield UMC to be a welcoming spiritual home after their time of active ministry. Each person finds their niche in the community and the church has been better for it.

If you are retired from your own period of ministry and seeking a new church home, you are welcome here.

Retired clergy and spouses are encouraged to be involved in the ways that fit where they’re at in life, including to simply come and worship and have a cup of coffee.

In recent years, retired clergy and spouses have been active as leaders and/or participants in these ministries in missional alignment with the church:

– Bible Study
– BWCA Trips
– Children, Youth, and Family Ministries
– Community Events
– Elected Leader Teams
– Hospitality Ministries

– Library Curation
– Mission Trips
– Music Ensembles
– Neighborhood Outreach
– Pastoral Care, churchwide systems
– Pastoral Care, on-call coverage

– Small Group Ministry
– Social Justice Outreach
– Teaching and Workshops
– Worship Leadership
– Worship Tech Crew
– United Women of Faith (UWF)

Please come to the next worship service or reach out to Rev. Nate Melcher to learn more over a cup of coffee.
